NEP BDM-1200-LV Liberty 120V Solar Inverter Plug-in Solar

1200w 120V AC Output Microinverter

LIBERTY Inverter is a microinverter designed for plug-in solar. It is UL1741 certified and CEC listed. It has an AC output of 120V and can be directly plugged into a wall outlet. It comes with a 5 meter US plug and connector. With built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, this inverter can be easily configured to be connected to home Wi-Fi. Realtime monitoring is available through NEPViewer APP without any accessories.

  • 120V US Grid Tied Plug and Play

  • Plug-and-Play Wall Outlet for DIY Installation

  • 5 meter US plug and connector

  • Connect 3 solar panels (up to 600W each) to a single inverter, with adaptive voltage tracking to optimize output across shading, angles, or mixed panel conditions

  • 3 MC4 Solar panel connections

  • Generate up to 1.2kW continuous power per inverter

Built-in WiFi & Intuitive App

Monitor real-time performance, troubleshoot issues, and receive alerts via smartphone app (iOS/Android), with over-the-air firmware updates.

Protection

  • Anti-islanding Protection
  • Fully compliant with U.S. Grid safety and interoperability standards.
  • PV Reverse Polarity Protection
  • Over Current/Voltage Protection

UL 1741 & IEEE1547 Certified

CAUTION: Fire Hazard and Overload Risk
A significant safety concern exists when there is no breaker between the inverter and other loads on the same circuit. Without a regulator for total amperage, a circuit can easily become overloaded.

For example, if two 1500W space heaters are used on a 15A circuit along with a plug-in inverter, the total draw is 3000W. While the 15A breaker limits grid power to 1800W, the inverter can supply the remaining 1200W directly. This results in 3000W running through 14 AWG wire, which is only rated for 1800W. This exceeds the wire's thermal capacity without tripping the breaker, creating a serious fire hazard.

Follow these Installation Guidelines to help minimize risk of a circuit overload:

Method 1: Dedicated Circuit
Connect the device to a dedicated circuit, such as a weatherproof exterior receptacle.

Method 2: Higher-Rated Breaker
Select a higher-rated circuit breaker and connect the device to the corresponding socket based on the following specifications:

- 15A Breaker: 14 AWG Wire | 360W Theoretical Feed-in Power
- 20A Breaker: 12 AWG Wire | 480W Theoretical Feed-in Power
- 30A Breaker: 10 AWG Wire | 720W Theoretical Feed-in Power
- 40A Breaker: 8 AWG Wire | 960W Theoretical Feed-in Power
- 50A Breaker: 6 AWG Wire | 1200W Theoretical Feed-in Power

Feed-in Power: Modifying feed-in power may require hardware configurations, software configurations, or both, depending on the device.

Method 3: Utilize existing Higher-Gauge Wiring
Replace the circuit breaker on an existing higher-gauge wire with a lower-rated one, then connect the device to the corresponding socket:

- 20A to 15A Breaker: 12 AWG Wire | 1080W Theoretical Feed-in Power
- 30A to 20A Breaker: 10 AWG Wire | 1920W Theoretical Feed-in Power

Important Safety Considerations

1. Professional Assistance: For Methods 2 and 3, please consult a qualified electrician if you are unfamiliar with electrical wiring or local codes.
2. Reconnection: If the device must be reconnected, you must review and follow all connection requirements again to ensure safe operation.
